L’OLIVIER

Pretty cottage which forms part of the west wing of the 17th century ‘Gentillhomerie’, with garden area which forms part of the surrounding park. Very peacefull and quiet where you can relax in tranquility.
There is a large park for you to enjoy, with views and access access to the countryside, leading to the ‘Ligne Vert’ which is the old railway track adapted for walkers to enjoy long country walks or it's great for a bike ride, away from traffic. For the more enegetic a brisk walk will get you to the ancient ‘Foret de Scevolles’. There is a fishing lake there and if you are a nature lover, there are different circuits that take you into the forest with lot's of points of interest along the way.

The cottage sleeps 4 people.

Pretty beamed living room with French doors leading onto a small terrace. Sofa 2 arm chairs, small TV & DVD player. Stairs leading to first floor.
The kitchen is equipped with cooker, fridge, washing machine & microwave. There is a small table and chairs.
Upstairs there are 2 pretty bedrooms. Double room with french painted double bed, chest of drawers and small wardrobe. Lovely views over to the open countryside. The other bedroom has 2 painted french single beds, chest of drawers. Again with lovely views to the countryside.
There is a small bathroom with shower, wash hand basin, W.C.and heated towel rail.

Small terrace with table and chairs. Covered area with chairs.

Sunbeds for relaxing and a barbeque.

There are also bikes at your disposal.

Linen is provided.

Rates for the cottage 2012:

low season – 300 euros 14th April - 2nd June, 1st September - 6th October.

mid season - 375 euros -7th April- 14th April (easter week) 2nd June - 7th July.

high season –450 euros - 7th July- 1st September

rates are per week Saturday – Saturday

For the comfort of all our guests the cottage is non smoking.

L'Olivier is an excellant location for visiting some great Châteaux. We enjoyed the peace and quiet = relaxed.

Heaven has been found in the Loire valley. Beautiful gîte, lovely surroundings, great people.

Well - this place looked stunning on the website..but the reality is even more wondeful! Such a beautiful house - the gîte so 'shabby chic'- with emphasis on the 'chic'!!

Just as good second time round. Peaceful, serene surroundings, friendly hosts. Could have stayed longer as there is so much to see and do.

Gîte is a great place to stay and we want to return again. It is difficult to envisage a more quiet & peaceful place.

Lovely gîte, so pretty but more importantly everything is comfortable and works properly.

We have been coming to France for over 30 years & this gîte has to be in our top five of the most peaceful, tranquil places to stay.
