Cookery Breaks.

Through out the year we are organising weekends for lovers of food & wine to come and join us for informal cookery demonstrations and cook-ins.

Maybe you lack confidence in the kitchen and want to learn basic cooking skills or you have a love of French food and want to learn more. Or like us, you are a real ‘foodie’ and just adore preparing good simple food and sharing it with other like minded people.

The cookery breaks are designed to help you to appreciate the wonderful seasonal produce this region offers, along with the wines produced from the Loire valley or from the Poitou region.

We have a fun cookery weekend for those of you who would like to learn the basics and for the more advanced & serious, classes with a local French chef where you will learn to create the dishes of this region.

Our chef Baptiste is from the Poitou region and has many years experience; his love of food has taken him to many places to discover other cuisines which has widened his experience. He has cooked at the Hotel St. Régis Resort & spa in Bora Bora, Yves Radelet in Luxembourg, Rudding Park Hotel in England, the Litchee Bar in Martinique and for La Petit France (traitor de France, Poitiers).
He will show you how to create classic French dishes that you will be able to do at home for your family & friends.
Share his experience in gourmet food with him, for a long weekend, a 4 day break or just for a one night stay. The choice is yours.
Weekend or longer stays can included trips to the local markets & vineyards as part of the whole French Experience. Prices on request.

All demonstrations take place in our large farmhouse kitchen. After an afternoon of fun cooking, we will all eat together in the dining room sharing a glass of local wine or two and enjoy our efforts of the day.

You may by now have come to the conclusion that the emphasis is on enjoyment of the cooking, fun and taking home with you new skills that maybe you did not know you had!

So come along, enjoy good simple food, discover a new region of France and make new friends in an enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere.

Dates for forthcoming classes in 2012 are:

Dimanche 8th, April.

Prices from 150 euros based on 1 person (1 night stay, 2 hour cookery lesson, dinner included)

For further information on longer stays please don’t hesitate to contact us.
